Success Stories
Ava Louella

Ava was the first foal born to NBE's breeding program and proudly she is the first to reach international competition. Ava is jointly owned by supportive owners Walton and Lois Teasdale. Ava is ridden by Abi Squires and is about to travel off to spend the winter jumping on the Spanish Sunshine tour.

I brought Emma from North Brook End Stud in February 2014. She is by their stallion Claudius and out of NBE's mare Ginger. Emma has been a pleasure to break in and has both talent and a kind nature. She is a quick learner and her education has progressed rapidly within the short space of time that I have owned her. Thank you NBE, very much for the help and opportunity to own such an amazing horse.

What a fantastic two and a half years we have had with Callum. He has always made us so proud and of course he is extremely photogenic!

Buying him from NBE proved to be the best decision I ever made. The careful way you matched me to him and then followed up on every question I had and supported me when he went through his growing pains now and then has been brilliant! He was such a baby when I bought him - aged 4 and a half - and now he is nearly 7 and he has proved to be an absolute all-rounder winning in hand and combined training championships, running clear in his first ever competitive cross-country and being placed in one day events and eventer trials.

He loves his dressage and has scored over 70% many times. He is also an absolute gent to hack and is a kind horse to ride with an ever-willing temperament and an ever-running battery! I'm glad I followed advice and picked him from your stock. I still remember the first time I rode him at the stud and it has been great to bring him back to you for lessons now and then. He is just what I was looking for. Thanks for everything but especially for Callum!

Sarah is a fabulous, knowledgeable inspiring teacher. "Within a few minutes she grasps where you are and then starts to improve you" says Gabrielle (12) who has had lessons with her for eight years.

Excellent at flatwork and jumping, Sarah has relentless enthusiasm. She manages to be both very professional but great fun. Combining years of experience as a breeder of Sports Horses, as a competition rider and instructor, she is able to offer a range of expertise.

She has boundless energy, a wealth of equestrian knowledge and ability to teach a wide range of levels of training.
Highly recommended as an instructor from the early stages of a riding career to a high level of competition riding.

“I bought a delightful young horse from North Brook End stud just over a year ago. He loves the relaxed atmosphere on the yard and is flourishing. He has been produced at NBE and is already is out competing and being placed top 3 in dressage. He loves his jumping and will start competitions soon. The care and attention at NBE for both horse and rider is second to none.”

I have been based at North Brook End Stud after buying my first horse, who was sourced as a three year old from France and produced by NBE. Through training at NBE I have gone from no experience in showjumping to qualifying for the British Novice Finals at Scope Festival and jumping up to Newcomers. Naomy is now in foal to Akropolis who stands at NBE and I have purchased two of NBE's homebred horses in order to further my education in producing young horses. Both were purchased unbroken from the field.

Having a full-time job it has not been easy to trust people to keep them both going and competition fit, however, the team understand what is needed and are on hand to help me manage and advise me. Through the guidance of NBE I was able to back Estelle myself and she is now jumping around a small course of fences (with a huge jump!) and I have so much confidence in Dexter that he is taking me off to my first international shows on the Sunshine Tour in 2015.

They are both bold as lions, taken me to my first away shows, put up with me driving them around in my first lorry, learning how to clip (who learns how to clip on a four year old!), are incredibly forgiving and patient and most importantly trainable and always come out eager to please and do the job. The success and enjoyment I have had is down to the NBE team who have always been on-hand with support, training, humour and coffee, always made sure there's a space on the lorry to go out (even if they already had a full load!), picked me up when I didn't quite judge that distance properly and got jumped off and always pushed me to try and further my knowledge to produce the horses properly and safely. It's not always been straight forward but it has always been fun!
